adidas Originals Woman’s Look Book

Background

adidas Originals is a sub brand of the sportswear manufacture adidas.

The Project

adidas wanted to identify the potential for QR code use to boost and expand their mobile relationship with the consumer. They aspired to enrich the consumers retail experience, cross sell lines, build awareness of QR codes for future use and to build consumer profiling to enhance in store marketing and increase sales.

Approach
Community developed a baagloo mobile site and POS to reflect adidas’ new Woman’s Look Book, targeting women shoppers in store with ideas on how to incorporate items from the store into their own style. The Look Book is a collection of clothing styles created in collaboration with stylists from around the world promoting the adidas Originals fashion range.
Community suggested implementing baagloo technology within stores to provide consumers with access to the entire style range whilst using minimal space.  A specially designed mobile site was built, onto which the Look Book was loaded. This site covered over 81 different styles from 9 different cities around the world and included over 170 items of clothing all accessible via QR coded hangtags and posters in store. Community designed the QR coded POS to be in keeping with the established adidas designs so that they complimented and enhanced the existing POS material. These were distributed around stores with instructions on how to read the QR codes enabling an interactive retail experience, which provided a huge range of styles and information to the consumer whilst using minimal space within the store itself.
The activity was run as a pilot in the Netherlands.
